How to Prepare for an Online Lesson:
Test Your Equipment:
Make sure your computer, tablet, or phone is set up properly for Zoom. Check your internet connection, camera, and microphone to ensure they are working well.
Ensure that the background noise removal is set to low to ensure clear hearing of your voice. You can change this in the audio settings of Zoom.
Choose a Quiet Space:
Find a quiet room with minimal background noise where you can focus without distractions. Inform others in your household about your lesson to minimize interruptions.
Have a Song Prepared:
If you're working on specific songs, have them ready to go before the lesson starts. This could include a youtube link to an instrumental version of the song, or digital files on your device.
When sharing your screen, you can click on “Share sound”, so I can hear the backing track as well.
Have Water Nearby:
Keep a bottle of water within reach to stay hydrated during the lesson. Staying hydrated is essential for maintaining vocal health.
Be on Time:
Log in to the Zoom meeting a few minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure everything is working correctly. This also allows time for any technical issues to be resolved before the lesson begins.
Enjoy the Lesson:
You’re all set up to get the most out of the session and take your voice to the next level!
